$$$One hundred and fifty-seven dollars$$$! Those bird houses are for more elegant birds than we have around here! We have $2.50 birds that live in scrap lumber houses.
It is a cute idea, but cute sure comes with a price!

They are cute, and I hope I didn't offend you Denny's Baby. I just thought that the estimated cost was a bit much. I don't think we paid that much for the chickens' coop!
Scrap lumber is our main building material around here.

I like the looks of those bird houses Denny. I'm sure my sons could knock something similar up for a fraction of the estimated price at Lowe's.
Definately food for thought - hey boys what are you doing at the week-end? :D :D

I too, thought $157.00 Does this include the laborer from Lowes and the Dewalt tools to build it???? My oh My.....Yes, cute, but not close to scrap lumber prices.

It looks like a multi-room apartment for birds. Definitely an eye catcher.

Yep... they would be cute as an indoor decoration.
But unless they were much taller, I don't think any of the birds around here would actually "move in". My first thought was "oh my goodness... wouldn't the wasps love those!"
But if the hole was plugged and the bottom sealed to deter the fire ants... very cute decorations.

Yes that is a cute idea. But because we do have sparrows who would probably try and nest in them. I would make just fake holes on the front with an extra piece of wood attached. How they make Blue bird houses entrance hole.
I also would put them side my side and attatch them together on the back with metal brackets. That way you only have to dig one hole or better yet attatch them to an old wooden post. It would be a fun project. :stew1: Scrape lumber here I come.
