We are getting more and more water fowl, especially ducks. This morning we had a flock of dabbling ducks (there are ducks who dive, and those who dabble) come in. My husband got a good photo of our dabblers:

Don't you just love those little white duck bottoms?

Ducks are cool. I found a whole website about petting ducks. It was funny that such a thing even existed. The white ones suddenly sparked a memory and reminded me about a pet duck I had as a child. His name was Charlie. We hung out.

When I was about 10,, I got a pair for Easter ! When they grew up we decided to take them to city park lake since there were a bunch of white ducks there ! And we did,, a couple of hours later a neighbor called and said they were walking in the road in front of her house but seemed to know where they were going ! About ten minutes later they were back home ! Since they were raised at one place and had never been anywhere else,, not sure how they found their way home but they did !

that is definitely a different kind of "bottoms up" everyone. So glad we do not have to feed like that. I'd drowned.
