David Austin, who bred so many gorgeous, fragrant and sturdy roses, has died at the age of 92. If we all left a legacy like his, the world would be kinder, more lovely, and smell better.
I treasure my Austin roses, and will even more now.

I have four of his roses and they are a real joy to have in the garden. I've never had any problems with them and people always comment on how beautiful they are when they are in bloom. He will be missed.

Sad news to hear @marlingardener but he's given me great pleasure with my large rose tree.
