Hallo from Pequannock New Jersey! I was reading about tall phlox . Is it or is it not deer resistant ? Always a "touchy" subject. We have woods behind the house with no fence ( our choice !! ) . Last year I bought tall phlox and sprayed them every 5/6 wks "just in case ". They remained untouched but then we had a mild winter so I don't think they were desperate ! They have never touched my ground cover phlox. btw.

Thank you so much ! I actually have a comprehensive list that is categorized ie. Seldom damaged, rarely damaged etc. The local garden center was kind enough to make a copy. of their listings. My garden is about 90% deer "proof". Took me a few years to get it to where it is today ! However, on the lists Phlox variations are listed separately of some reason.

I have deer problems and have never had them eat my Phlox. BUT that doesn't mean they don't eat it, it means I have things they prefer to eat first!

Mother and Grandmother have Tall Phlox. The deer have never eaten any of their Phlox.
