Come in, come in, to the Shipley Taverna. On the menu this evening, delicious Greek Salad made with only the finest tomatoes.

Firstly we slice a Cherokee Purple and a Great White and lay them on the platter, dressing them with a drizzle of the best olive oil.

Then we tear a bunch of basil and scatter that over the tomatoes and toss on a few green olives. Then crumble some salty Greek Feta cheese over the sweet fruit and slather with more olive oil and a good grinding of black pepper.

Eat heartily with a hunk of home made bread and a cold glass of the house white wine.

    Please, come again.

    :)

    Opa!
Magnificent spread, EJ....Pity you guys don't live round the corner, I'd be there with a bottle of ouzo under my arm and a bottle of olive oil under the other. :)

That's a nice variety of healthy-looking toms you've got there. They make me really envious, since I can't grow just any ole sort of tom that I want here...blight, y'know.

Ah, feta! *drooling* You've just served my favourite starter when in Greece and now I have to go looking for some good tomatoes and I know what I'm having for lunch. :D
