In the back garden amongst the weeds 2 young trees are growing. One is a rhododendron. The other is a tree with some neat looking leaves and right now has black berries (seeds?) on them. We're saving both trees and letting them stay where they are. The rest of the weed patch is getting turf over it soon as soon as the hot dry spell has ended. But I'm curious what I have here. Does anyone recognize the tree? yey. a daphne. looks like. i also got one, a small one, survived well through the cold winter we had (althoug it was VERY small. not bloomed yet, of course. am hoping it's the other one (daphne mezereum) cause of the cuter pink flowers. i got it from a lady (friend) in the UK and if i remember she DID say it was a DAPHNE and also that it makes fragrant PINK flowers. We'll see. Here it is http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo ... 0362TEkxfX
