Caught them coming across the driveway this morning. This is one of the Toms and he looks like he weighs about 20 or 25 pounds. He is a big guy. That's a hen in front of him just going into the weeds.

You couldn't eat good old Tommy there now could you?

Your signature line sounds like a George Carlin quote.

20-25lbs - now that's a lot of turkey. Ian and I would be eating that bird for months!!! He looks so much better running free than roasted on a plate anyway.

I could! Trade you some sheep for that one turkey. Got a whole lot over at Selnes farm.

They are not very attractive but wonderful all the same. I did not care for the wild turkey we ate, way too dry. Give me a good old Butterball any day ;)

Wild turkeys don't get the fattening foods that the Butterball do. It's only what seeds etc they can find.

Mmm, I think I would be able to eat that turkey. I bet it tastes a bit more gamey than the ones we get in the shops. He's lovely, though, I'm glad you caught him with your camera.

I think I would be able to manage a morsel or 2 also. I have never had wild turkey but love game, maybe one day. However, he is a handsome beast - a great photographic capture capt.
