A few years ago there was a big push to set up nesting boxes for Eastern Blue Birds because their numbers were dropping due to lack of nesting areas. Over the years many birds have used this box as home. So it came as a surprise the other afternoon sitting outside and I see a blue bird with that orange chest you can't miss on top guarding his nest. Feels good. Will take a pic if he lets me.

A swift family is back at the usual nesting box. Won’t be long till we see those tiny beaks poking out for food.

    This is exciting news, Clay.
I have a box full of blue tits this year…so I know the growing excitement. I hope the exter doesn’t get them.

I have to say though mate— I hope that you can get a piccy or two. We do not have those bluebirds here.

Well, that is a very attractive bird, isn’t it. Thanks for the trouble.
