I am really glad I was out of the dating scene by 1970....married 6 yrs with a 3 yr old daughter. The only time I saw those "fashions " was on TV.

My dad had the greatest light blue poly suit! Couldn't find the pic of that, but I found this nifty outfit I rocked as a kid. I grew up tying those bell bottoms at the ankle to keep them out of the chain of my banana seat bike.

Ian had a blue denim safari suit in the seventies and a beetle style haircut. Now when I see old photographs I wonder what I was thinking dating him. Mind you I was wearing boob tubes, hot pants and cat suits so I wasn't much better!! My kids think we looked hilarious in our 'trendy 70's gear. :smt053

I have a few somewhere in the deep, dark recesses of the attic. If I can persuade Ian to look for them I'll try to post them for you. Don't hold you breath though as they were taken nearly forty years ago and dear knows what state they're in now.

Actually I miss the hip hugger pants as they were the only ones I could find that I didn't have to roll the waistband on. The low riders today are way too low cut for an old, overweight ex-'hippy'!

Be thankful there was no Facebook in the 70's. Imagine the embarrassing photos preserved for all time.
