This clump of pretty little ferns grow in the middle of my back yard. We mow right over it and it comes back quick. I'm planning on potting some of it but am curious to exactly what it is. It has a green fuzzy look to it, the leaves are very delicate looking.

I think it is a yarrow plant and not a fern. If you rub the plant with your fingers it should be fragrant. I would pull it if it was mine. It can be a pesty weed once it flowers and goes to seed.

I think you may be correct, looked it up and it does look like it. I've been wanting some yarrow somewhere in my yard so this makes me happy. Think I'll move it to a place it can actually grow.

Thanks! Time will tell if we are correct.

You are welcome. It does come in many colors, from all the breeding the growers have done with this plant, but this is probably white, just so you know.
