The berries are gone and the ground is frozen so the worms don't come out, the bugs are not around either. So I put out some berries that I put in the freezer for the robins. Although many other birds eat them also.

The robin appears to be delighted to find the berries you put out. The birds really do need a helping hand at this time of year don't they?

You froze berries specifically for the birds Kildale? That's such a great idea and really caring. I really should do that while we still have a lot of berries on display.

    What a nice idea.
I didn't know robins stayed up there through the winter. All of ours fly south.

Ours fly south also but it's something I should look into for the birds that do stay through the winter.

The Robins love berries. We have a holly bush loaded with berries that, at times, have as many as a dozen robins eating the hundreds of berries. When winter is over often the only berries are those at the bottom of the bush that have been covered with snow.

I have some small crabapples on my flowering crab tree that no one seems to want. That is a terrific idea Kildale and I am sure the birds appreciate them...
