I feed the birds through the kitchen window by placing a few pellets of a suet mix on a gate down to the garden. After a while they take them from my hand. The two latest, this week, are the flickers. will try to let them eat out of my hand, hopefully.

Good pics. It is nice to see birds that we do not have here. Haven’t seen you much. It was great to see you again. Stay healthy.

We've just fairly recently seen a nuthatch at our feeders. It's coming every morning now and seems to like the sunflower hearts I put out.

Kildale, we just put out our suet feeders, mainly for the woodpeckers. Each time I decide to bring in the hummingbird nectar feeders, one or two of the little darlings show up and I'm too soft hearted to tell them to go suck on a flower!
Mart, birds feed out of Kildale's hand because he is a bird whisperer!

Since my stroke I still can't walk very well so gardening is out, I spend a little more time with the birds and working on my monthly Newsletter, that keeps me busy.

    Hi Kildale,

Well, that's the spirit! I am sorry that walking is now difficult for you, and I do hope that your body will continue to recover. But it is very cool that the birds are coming to you. They do know a bird whisperer when they see one.

I have always found the natural world to be energizing, recharging, nurishing and a balm to my soul.
