Back in February I posted my first efforts at flying geese and a proposed layout of them. Well this is what I finally did with them and tomorrow they will be hung on our staircase wall. I kept these as two separate pieces: one represents flying in the day and the other at night. The patterned material is just perfect for this! Well done, and as Hank said, thanks for sharing your work with us.
Gosh Karin those are even lovelier than I imagined they would be. You must let us see them again once you've hung them.
Thank you Toni. The top two are paper-pieced so no excuse for bad points really and Mark bought me a new ruler to make the bigger ones so again no real excuses.
This is pretty artsy stuff innit. I like the looks of these. I'll bet that your home is a joy to behold. I picture it with all manner of your quilting bits tastefully hanging or lying here and there. It is such a blessing to have a talent like this. Well done you! I have been wondering .... a group of geese is a "gaggle", right? --That is when they are on the ground, but once airborne, they become a "flock"...the same gaggle. It's a confusing language sometimes.
Thank you Sjoerd, We're running out of wall space what with the paintings we have bought and now my quilted hangings. Funny how the geese change as they get airborne isn't it... and not something I had ever pondered on before Sjoerd.
