Does anybody here tie flys for fishing? You know, with feathers and all? I'm thinking I need something to keep me busy this winter.

My father used to tie all his own fishing flies. Sadly he is no longer with us but I did enjoy watching him create delicate and beautiful 'insects' to attract the fish.

Here's a video link that explains how to tie flies:

    Hope it helps. :-D

Thanks Eileen! I did find a fly-tying forum. I'm thinking there's a bit more to it than I first thought, pretty complicated sometimes.

My 14 year old grandson has a love for this and he is getting pretty good at it. We bought him a nice kit and 2 book for his B day. He was thrilled. Good luck. I did tie flies when I was young but my hands just wont do it anymore.
