These are a collection of all the flora that I saw while on the Oorlogskloof hiking trail. I was thrilled to see some of my favourites. Here goes.

The Zantedeschia aethopica - my fav. since I also have them growing in my garden. Not the animal droppings on the leaves.
    (PS: Zantedeschia aethiopica (Calla Lily))

I have a Peace Lily as a house plant so it's great to see it in its natural environment. I've only ever seen Protea growing wild on the island of Jersey - such unusual plants. Thank you for sharing all the wonderful wildflowers you encountered.

Thanks Eileen - You are welcome.

I have never thought of growing them as houseplants. Now that is a novel idea for me. I have them growing in my front garden.

ANd as for the Oxalis, I never plant them, but every year they come up and surprise me in spring time - I just love them to bits.

Wow Palmpie--that was a great group of foto's.
I very much liked that foto of the groupof little brown mushrooms. They looked very nice. I wonder if one can eat those safely.
