A local man expressed that he had read that if you are growing tulips, you should not grow tulips in the same spot year after year.
Has anyone noticed a problem with planting the same spot with tulips all the time?

Not here. I generally let my bulbs dry out then lift them and store them in an onion sack for the following year. Some years I put them in pots and other years I put them in a raised bed or border.

@Petronius as you know I don't have tulips but the neighbour does...she's got them mixed with other plants along her main windows and other's place and I've never seen no trouble with hers, except they bloom lovely.

they say rotating tulips is useful to prevent disease. but it probably depends on a lot of factors like how densely planted the tulips are, and how much care your giving these plants. I bet rotation is more of a large scale type thing.
