    Okay, I'll play. I don't know the first 2, but the third is golden sedum. The fourth is a rose. The fifth is a balloonflower. Sixth is a gloriosa lily and the seventh is foxglove. How'd I do?

    I agree with Jakrum;
    They are exceptional. What other way is there to enjoy blooms than up close and personal? Thanks Droopy.

    You were right on three and seven. :D Maybe you should try a bit more? They're all fairly common around here.

    EJ, you're very good. 1 is Viola cornuta, a small viola. No. 4 is a potentilla, they grow in almost every garden around here, but mostly yellow ones.

    I love the color on that poppy as well. They are all very beautiful. I'm also partial to the Delphinium. Thanks for sharing.

    Thanks all, those flowers are tough since they bloom despite the chilly wetness. The white poppy is "Perry's White", we've had it for a couple of years now.

    Thank you. No, they manage to grow and bloom in neglected borders in very old gardens. They can take being mowed over and will still come back. They won't look good unless they get some care, of course, but they are really hardy lilies. I think they take USDA zones 3 through 10. Common English name is Common Turk's Cap Lily. We got ours from a very neglected yard.

    These flowers are so nice to look at. I got on here too late to play, but I am still admiring them. You have some spectacular flowers there, Droopy...and I really enjoy seeing them.
