I went to the grocery this morning and got most of what was on my list and saw what else was available. That was my foraging expedition.
When I got home and put away my foraging finds, I went out to the vegetable gardens and picked sugar peas, another head of broccoli, and lots of lettuce. Thank heavens for harvesting! The cucumbers are flowering, the squash plants are looking promising, and next week we will be harvesting garlic to hang and dry.
Harvesting is so much more fun than foraging!

I have never thought about this subject in this way. Of course, you are 100% right.
I can tell from your words that Spring really is getting underway there. I can only look on with a degree of jealousy and of course happiness for you.

I too prefer growing to buying. However, when something doesn't grow abundantly, I'm very thankful that someone else was successful.
