I have lots of fushsias and don't really know the best time to prune down and how low. When is the best time to take cuttings. Mine are all bush fushsias.
take the cuttings on the softer part of the growth... not the woody area that is really hard. not the tip where it is really soft either. use a rooting hormone and a high humidity enclosure to help this along. bottom heat helps it to form roots quicker also. good luck. you can do this anytime, by the way. trim them and shape them as you please.
