Gardening with four fur babies that are fed lettuce as a morning ritual (my husbands doggy ritual) can make gardening a challenge. Here is our protected plants. Will only have 2 cauliflower plants and two rows of one variety of kale have been properly thinned and half a row of sugar snap peas disappeared.

I don’t like walking on bare dirt so the cardboard will be covered with bark this weekend. It is a little plot with peas, collards, winter squash, heirloom corn and kale with a few strawberries in the back of the plot and sunchokes in the front along the hedge.
