Was looking out the bedroom window down into the garden and I see a blob of bright green in the birdhouse. Initially I thought it might be one of the hummingbirds sitting there but it was being too still for too long. Hoping I wouldn't find the worst (dead hummer) I strolled down to explore.

A Frog! A little froggie has now taken up residence in my bird house. He was just lazing about sunning himself and have a great time in his new Palace.

So now do I actually have a bird house in the garden? Or should I just fess up and say I've got both bird houses and FROG houses? :) :)

As the house needs are 'out of season' for birds, the tree frog has found an excellent empty abode for itself. Sheltered from the elements and predators the frog is in 'seventh heaven'. It will not be there in the spring when again the for rent sign will entertain a call for spring birds looking for a home to raise their young.

    P.S. great pix.

Here these guys are known as "sticky frogs" and we sure seem to have an over abundance of them this year.
