I was excited to see my first Giant Swallowtail last week. I am really surprised that we have so many butterflies next to the lake with all of the birds flying around...some of them fly so fast past me that it is hard to know for sure what it was... August 6, 2018 013 (2).jpg

Really lovely photographs Sherry. The third one is my favourite as it shows so much detail of the butterfly.

We have them, too. Beautiful butterflies, and your photos capture their beauty perfectly!

I have seen a couple in my garden this summer....or just one making two swooping flights across the garden.

Yup have those beauties here also. We've also been seeing some Monarch Butterflies. We have a lot of Milkweed.
