    Time to divide and transplant my Ginger. These are going on my other property to help control erosion.

    These are grown for foliage only. I don't know the genus/species, but they are common, and the leaves smell incredibly sweet when broken.

    To give an idea of how fast these grow here, these are just over a year and half old from a single division. Two years with no frost and freeze helps, too.

    That looks like Cardamom to me.... Is that a ginger? If so that is one of my favorite plants. I could never got it to bloom but I used to crumble the leaves to get the greatest enjoyment and pleasure. It is like a drug. LOL

    Sadly it passed on while I was busy caring for Lil Debbie.
