Our gardens centre gave customers a small pack of free bulbs. All I got were lots of leaves and 1 flower. My question is are they likely to flower next year or should I compost them. Thank you in advance for any advice.

Good chance they didn't get enough heat and sun...depending on where and when you planted them. In your area, you will need to dig them up for the winter. Don't dig them up until the leaves have died off, they need to store energy for next years blooms first.

Replant them in a sunny spot after the last frost of the spring, throw in a little bulb fertilizer but make sure it isn't all nitrogen.

Also the corms were probably too small to have reached flowering size.
