My car is never parked in the hot sun. It is always under the shade of a very dense tree. Or under it's covered parking.

Yet for the first time in my life, I just noticed that the thermometer inside the car has broken... Yes, that's how hot it is getting over here nowadays.

Is there anyone out there, who still thinks that global warming is nothing but another hoax? Well, just wait until a few more years - When this type of weather also becomes the norm in Europe and North America. Then I will ask this same question again!

    40°C is 104°F.
Feels like 51°C, which comes out as 123°F...

And just half an hour after I made my post above - Suddenly thunder clouds came out of nowhere! So now it's raining like crazy over here.

In the merciless sweltering heat, I was constantly wishing for rain.

I should have wished for a 100 million dollars instead!

    :frustrated:

So do you have a favorite way of wishing for rain??? I need to change my tactics when it comes to that...we get the dark clouds and off in the distance is the rumble of what I think is thunder...(been so long I might not be able to identify what it sounds like from memory.... then the sky clears up and all hope of rain is gone.
The rest of this week the temps will be hovering between 102 and 105 and add another 10 degrees to that for what it actually feels like. And then summer will settle in for a long lack of winter nap and my days in the garden will become a distant memory.

You know that old saying - Take an umbrella with you, and it'll never rain.

OK, the opposite of that is - Wash your car, then assume it won't rain.

Before you know it, everything will be drenched...

    :snicker:  :smt044
