Cause we sure havn't had much snow this winter. For the season we usually get 15 to 20 inches or more for the winter. This season we have had a grand total of 6 1/2 inches of snow. That includes the 1/4 inch we got this morning. The biggest snow we have had was 4 inches and it warmed up and rained the next day and it all melted off. Since it takes about 10 inches of snow to equal 1 inch of rain, we haven't even gotten an inch in percipitation from snow. But we have had plenty of rain this winter.
Yep, nor am I complaining about it. we have only used 1/2 of the wood we use last year due to the difference in sunshine and temperatures outside. Yahoo! Cutting the wood is so much work and we only had 1/2 of what we needed since Kevin needed surgery last fall and that was all we got cut and split.
I have only used a little over a cord of wood this year. Last year I used 4 cord of wood. I'm not complaining either. It just means less I will have to cut and split this year.
Same kind of winter here in southern Ontario. I'm on my second cord of wood, and I'm usually starting on my 3rd. We have only had one oil tank fill up too. That makes me happy because heating oil is expensive! Lots of rain too ... I have about an acre of water (ice) that I don't usually have.
