Well, my dad's been trying for years to graft. Mainly fruit trees and sometimes vine (wine).
He's got a poor sight (but won't have a check and glasses) and he's not always been successful.
So... his neighbor and friend (where he's got his vineyard) has got these pliers... and of course dad would like a pair too.
In Romania there's a site selling them, made in Italy or imported from.
Some reviews/feedback is not so great.
I am just wondering if any of you have ever used this tool.

Calin--No I haven't. I see your quandry, or at least I think I do. The price of the pliers is not cheap.

I must say though that you have an interesting sounding dad. He is into grafting? And what he lusts after is a set of grafting pliers?! What a guy!

If you do decide to spring for them, I would be curious to know if they work.

I don't know anyone else on this website who does grafting. Jerry Sullivan would be the most likely candidate. Or maybe Philip Nulty. You could send them a PM.

Well. Dad's got a vineyard on the hills outside the village. He bought that lot a while ago, when still young, together with some work colleagues.
Now retired, all 3 of them, and when one does something, dad also wants to do it.
This particular neighbor bought these pliers, did some grafting on the vine and of course dad was impressed.
NOW...dad's been telling me all dried up and died...
So... I guess doing a little research before buying somethings is advised :)

Interesting. So I guess just waiting a bit is a good policy!
