Great deal from Cornell Lab of Ornithology

    For those of us in the USA, Cornell Lab of Ornithology is offering a great deal on their Backyard Birdfeeder Watch. If you join by Feb. 1, you get the remainder of this year and next year for the price of one year. All you have to do is report your sightings for two days during the season (Nov. to April). Membership in the Watch is cheap, $15 I think.
    Not only do you get to help the ornithologists track migration patterns and populations, but they send a wonderful paper magazine and e-newsletters. If you want more information or to register, go to:

    I had tried putting in my name a few years ago..I guess they thought I didn't know enough about birds so I wasn't picked to do it. They might of had too many doing it then but it was disappointing and I won't sign up again. I will contribute in other areas.
