When in Denmark we visited Jesperhus Flowerpark, the one with all the hens'n'chicks-creations for those of you who saw the post. There's a small corner dedicated to Mr. Andersen and his fairy tales. You may know some of them, like "The Little Mermaid", "The little match girl" and "Thumbelina".

This is what Jesperhus Flowerpark's tribute to him looks like:

    I especially liked that princess's bed. :D

I sooo enjoyed looking at your photographs Droopy. They brought back many happy memories of reading these wonderful stories to my children. The Little Matchgirl always made them cry but they never tired of hearing it. Many thanks. :-D

Thanks all. :D I would have liked to try and make that mattress-effect with sempervivums, but I don't think I've got room for it.

What great pictures and a great place. I adore Hans Christian Andersen stories, Thumbalina being my fave, and I still sing the song to my kids. Good ole Danny Kaye. :)

I think the Princess bed is my fave also.
