Happy Thanksgiving to you, Sherry8 and to everyone else celebrating the day. I started taking pictures and I will try to get them posted. Yesterday I made: turkey stock jelled cranberry with grappa traditional pumpkin pie pumpkin and marscapone cheese pie Today I will make: Turkey with rustic Italian stuffing Gravy (of course) Potato and garlic puree Asparagus (I have nice fat tender ones from Thailand- bless Thailand and their yummy asparagus. I have never had it before for Thanksgiving) Roasted fennel and apple Homemade bread (my Southern friends have biscuits but I can't make a biscuit to save my life...) Relish plate Cheese plate Thanksgiving is a blend of Native American food, Italian and Irish food for us. I really should have included a pasta dish for tradition's sake but with my tiny (by American standards) stove, I have had to adapt. So the lavender, pear and cheese tortellini will be made tomorrow and served with whatever leftovers remain. (Which is always guaranteed with me because no matter how much I try to cut back on portions when cooking, the Girl Who Grew up in a Large Family wins over Miss Portion Conrtol.)
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Wish I could have a little taste of all the food you're making. Yes, please post photos!
