I'm super thrilled to be here! I'm about as novice as you can get, but my recent acquisition (a satin pothos/silver philodendron) has twirled it's vines around my heart and has me interested in getting more houseplants and becoming an indoor gardener! Can't wait to join in some cool discussions and see and share some pics of lovely leafy things.
Welcome to GardenStew Silkie from Scotland. Your Silver Philodendron is beautiful and is a credit to you. So glad you joined us here!!
Welcome! I won't be of much help with houseplants, but might be able to give advice on outside plants. We have a small farm in central Texas with herbs, vegetables, flowers, and more weeds that we can handle!
Hi Silkie and a warm, public welcome to GardenStew That's a beautiful looking pothos; I can see how it got to your heart Feel free to start any discussions you'd like and join in on existing ones. Enjoy!
Thank you all for the warm welcome! Next spring I will be seeking some advice for outdoor gardening as well. I'm already greatly enjoying the site, such a cool set up, and some really good vibes.
Hi Silky, welcome to Gardenstew from Chelmsford MA. Nice healthy happy plant. We have several knowledgeable house plant people. Questions? Ask away. Someone usually knows the answer. Jerry
Hi and welcome. We have got a philodendron somewhere amongst the jungle that takes up half our room. Beware growing plants is addictive.
Hehe, that's due to my lack of patience. As soon as I walk out of the store, I'm taking pics of my new beauties. You gave me an idea though, I wonder if there is a plant that could survive the extremes of living in a vehicle...
Far worse things to be addicted to I suppose! XD Hehe, wishful thinking I guess. A live plant that could survive that would have to come out of Superman's own garden!
Hi there and welcome ! Try some of the small cactus. They are heat lovers,,just be sure to water them regularly. Water will evaporate quickly in a car.
