    Hi there,
I have a tree/shrub growing in a shaded area that I can't identify. It's very tall for a shrub, but that may be because it's trying to reach sun. It has small fluffy flowers with a mild scent. Attaching picture. If anyone can help identify it, I would be very grateful.

Could it be old fashioned privet?
They used to be grown as hedges (privet hedge) but if left unpruned, they can grow to be 12-15 feet high. We had an unpruned privet hedge on our property when I was growing up & the bees loved it. The scent was pretty nice too.
Is your bush deciduous? Privets are deciduous.

Yes, after further research, I believe it IS privet. And yes, it's deciduous. I may try to prune it a bit after it flowers. Thanks very much for your help.
