Hello Everyone I wanted to join a garden forum as I love attending my plants, it's took 8yrs to achieve the back and front garden to how we want them but I do enjoy looking after the plants. I lost 7 Bottlebrushes to our hard winter after they matured beautifully and some have been replaced by grasses. By being on the forum I hope to gain friendship besides knowledge from members. Gail
Hi there Gail and welcome To GardenStew. I'm from Scotland and also lost my bottlebrush bush due to bad weather. I don't know if I will replace it yet as I'd hate to lose another one. I'll look forward to getting to know you.
again Eileen Well it taught me a lesson because the temps dropped lower than they usually do, they can't cope and when I've been up the garden centres in may and june looking for plants, the ones on show looked in a bad way. They're proper sun worshippers and adore the sun and they're used to hot temps coming from Australia, so it's a plant I won't be touching in future...I've purchased more grasses this time.
Hi there and welcome to the group ! Can`t help with the bottlebrush but sounds like they would love Texas !
Hello mart, oh they would be well away mate...they've gone through some cold winters and snow but with the very heavy low drops this winter it destroyed them. If your into these plants then I highly suggest buying one and they're easy to maintain to keep them right
