Hi everyone! I'm new to the site and to the state of Virginia. Just moved here about a year ago from New Jersey. I used to have a small but very established garden in NJ, but now I'm starting all over again with a new zone and new soil. It's all very different than what I was used to. Can't wait to take a look around and get to know you all.
Hello Ginny Welcome to GardenStew from southern Ontario!! In some ways, new gardens are MORE fun! Hope you have some seed catalogs arriving in your mailbox and we can help inspire you

Hi Ginny, welcome to GardenStew from north central Texas. We would love to see photos of where you will be putting in your new garden and of course progress photos as the fun gets under way.
Welcome GinnyC from Pa. Hope you enjoy it here. We are all very helpful and friendly. Where in NJ did you live? I grew up there.
Welcome from central Texas! We moved from upstate NY to Texas, so I know what you mean about everything being very different that what you were used to. We will all pitch in to help if needed, and give lots of encouragement.
Hi Ginny and a hearty welcome to GardenStew! Is your new garden space a blank slate or already established? Very much looking forward to reading about your adventures and experiences
Ginny sending you a big welcome from a Stewbie in Wisconsin. Moving to a new area can be a challenge and fun. Hope to see pic's of your little corner of the world.
Thank you all for the very warm welcome. I can't wait to get to know all of you too. It's very nice to see people from all over the world too. I love seeing exotic and unusual to me plants. Waretrop, I used to live in northern NJ, West Milford, right near the border of NY state. Where abouts were you from? Frank, Really no established gardens here, just a few shrubs around the house lots of large pine trees. The property we bought is almost ten acres, but part is wooded and the rest is sort of park-like, in front of the house is grass with trees here and there. I've gone through one growing season so far, so I really just planted a lot of annual seed for flowers and also started a vegetable garden with the help of my son. For the first year I was very happy, I had tomatoes coming out of my ears! See you all around the boards. I'm hoping people like to trade seed here too.
Yes we are seed traders too. Where in Va. are you? I'm in the Williamsburg area. And always have seed and plants to trade or give away.
