    Hello,

Can anyone help with ID of these bugs? They showed up recently on my newly planted heliopsis. Possible treatment?

    Thank You.

I believe that they are red aphids-- ( Uroleucon pseudambrosiae ).

Thanks for your help with ID. I took my garden hose and sprayed them away. Hopefully, this solves the issue. I’ll monitor closely.

Yep Red Aphids....no need to worry about them. They attract beneficial insects to the garden who eat them and pollinate other plants

Funny you mentioned it, after I sprayed it with the hose I stayed around for a bit. I noticed a wasp flew by the plant, I am assuming it was looking for those aphids. He specifically looked around the spot where they were hanging around. By the way the bigger aphids returned about an hour later, I just squished them with my fingers to help the plant out. See what happens in few days.
