Hi Everyone, I've been working on putting some pics. together on a canvas board, The question is when I get done can I spray it with some kind of protective spray, like a clear spray or will it ruin my pics. It's a cute board I put some of my garden pics. on it And painted a sunflower on it and,a couple of lady bugs I thought it made it a little more garden like.I was going to put it in the kitchen, But any where I put it I have to protect it some how, Don't you all think so? Any ideas will be appreciated, I just don't want to mess up my pics. I will send pics when i finish it.
    Thank you again.

I'd go to a good art or craft shop Margie and ask if there is any type of clear protective spray that won't damage photographs or paintings. Either that or you could buy some clear acetate sheets which you could cover your pictures with and that can be wiped clean. Another suggestion is to lamenate them which will seal them and then they won't run the risk of them getting spoiled.

I don't know of any kind of protective coating that can be sprayed onto photos without ruining them. I would suggest finding a way to frame the piece with glass, Margie. Is it the thin canvas board that you've used? Or the one where the canvas is stretched over the wood stretchers? The thin canvas board would be easy to frame. If you don't want to see a frame around it, they make "frames" that are basically a piece of glass and a piece of masonite, with clips that hold them together with the art between. Maybe I can find a link for you.

It sounds like such a sweet piece -- I hope you can find a good way to protect it.

Margie, Here is a link. It's frame-less and the clips are so small, it hardly looks like anything! you can find others like it if you google "clip frames." They are easy to find at craft store, if you're not already familiar with them.
