Good morning all! So I might be slightly gardening obsessed, and this is super odd for me. My husband might be questioning if I have been replaced by some bot. Last year we fixed up our backyard so it was an oasis against the Florida summer. This summer, I randomly decided to try to grow veggies for the upteenth time, this time from seed. Somehow, it’s working now. I already have pea and zucchini blossoms and can barely keep up with my dill and basil outputs! 7.4.18 ( photo / image / picture from Ammi's Garden ) —Bob the Cabbage— So hello to everyone and I hope to learn from all of you in my new love and journey! (Can I go dig in the dirt now? )
Yes go dig Ammi but do keep dropping in to see us when you take a break. Welcome to GardenStew from Scotland where we're having a heat wave at the moment.
Welcome to GS Ammi, yep, dig and grow to your hearts content. It does’nt sound like you need any help so far. I used to love our allotment. K
Hi Ammi, welcome to Gardenstew from Chelmsford MA. Dirt is fun. I found that out when I was 3 and have never stopped. The only bad part is having to wash up after. All the women in my life frown at dirty hands at the dinner table. We are always interested in pictures of whatever you grow. Jerry
Thank you all for your warm welcome! If anyone has any tips on how to get the dirt out of the cuticles... Also, added to my squash, bean, cucumber, and tomato section with three more baby Nasturtiums! Can’t wait for the color add!
Ha ! I use dish soap, an old toothbrush and slather on lots of hand lotion ! Hi there and welcome !! Garden looks great !
I have found is the best way to clean the dirt from your fingernails and cuticles is washing you hair. Hi Ammi, welcome to GardenStew from north central Texas. I lived in WBP, Florida many, many, many years ago (41 to be exact). Didn't do a lot of gardening while there though. But it was fun to see fence posts along the highway made from tree logs sprouting and growing into trees again.
