As a child, I fondly remember my Mother’s flower beds. And, of course, being pressed into assisting in the weeding! When I grew up, got married & had children of my own, I taught them the techniques of planting & weeding I learned at my Mother’s knee. Now that I’m retired, I have time to do things in my gardens that I didn’t have the time or energy to do while working full time. One of those things is saving flower & vegetable seeds from our gardens. This is my first year for this new endeavor and, of course, I have all kinds of questions! I am excited to be a part of this forum and look forward to reading of others experiences, successes & failures.

Bonjour, @Big Red! I have done a lot of planting of annuals and perennials. My great-grandparents had a contract with a canning company to raise tomatoes.
