That's cute, Ed. Make sure you let it dry out well before watering again. Maybe you should use a little cactus fertilizer.

Ed, is there a name on the plant at all, I mean other than Moon Cactus? It appears to be Hylocereus undatus (synonym is Cereus Undatus)

Yours appears to have a small cactus grafted to it's top. The small cactus can not live without being on a host plant but the two cactus have different water requirements. The top one requires dry, arid conditions but the bottom one is a tropical/rain forest cactus and requires more moisture especially when it is living as a single and blooming. So as a combo they are doomed to die sooner than if they were separate.

If is the Hylocereus undatus and the top thing is a flower, pull the flower off since it has been glued on to make the plant cute and more appealing to customers and serves no other purpose.

If it is Hylocereus undatus, it can grow to be 5-20 feet long in the right conditions. In a hanging basket it will trail over the sides of the container and hang down or in it's native setting it will climb up a nearby tree.
