Since I have such a large greenhouse people think I can take anything. Every year I am given bulbs, and plants that people can't keep that will die in the cold winter. So today I went with my large flatbed trailer and brought the whole dang arbor home. It has Mandevilla growing on it. The first pic is at the woman's house. Next one is after it got put into my greenhouse. She doesn't want it back. Next year it will go somewhere in my gardens with a sign on it with her name.... It just lay down in our large trailer, them slid off when we got home and right into the greenhouse just as simple as pie. I never moved any plant so easily. It lost only a few leaves.... And yes, that door is the one it went through....only sideways..
Yes my greenhouse if full and will be more filled when the plants come in from playing out in the yard all summer. Lol. All adds to the fun.
wow... it is beautiful. ....give it a rose food with an insecticide in it if you do anything like that. I accidentally gave a "gift" some of my rose food and it was a good thing. otherwise I would have been infested with mealy bug. the pots always seem to have pill bugs in them when I bring them in also.it would take care of those nasty buggers, too.
How beautiful...I love madevilla but they are not hardy in my zone. I do put them in containers and at the end of the season, I get rid of them.
@Sherry8 They are not hardy in my area either. That's how I got them. The woman didn't want to watch them die this fall so she told me to keep them in my greenhouse....I may keep them in the greenhouse all year...It is pretty in there. @carolyn I will take your advice and deal with them tomorrow morning. Thank you. You are always full of great knowledge to share...
Beautiful gift,..you made what seems like a hard job,..so easy,..you certainly make great use of your large greenhouse and you are well rewarded with gifts like this,..i could spend all day in your greenhouse and be happy.
