I found a bag of these in a booth at an antique mall, labeled only as large seed pods. Well, they got that right, they range in size from just under 2 inches to almost 2 1/2 inches.

Toni they remind me of Lilium Japonicum seed pods but I'm not sure they actually are those. I'm sure I've seen ones just like yours somewhere though but I can't recall where.

I would take a hammer to one and see what is inside. Do they rattle when shaken ?

I have no Idea what it is but I bought a bag of large seed pods for a large wreath I was doing and there was some of those pods included. Being light tan they really 'set' it off.
