Is it too late for overwintering?

    Hello everyone,is it too late to do some overwintering some flowers outside? I'm not sure what all i can put out there but i would like to try it, thank you margie

    I don't think I'm understanding your question fully ....... need more info to know what you are asking to overwinter?

    i just ment when you put seeds outside in little cartons to get started for spring, is it to late for that to start, i think thats what they call it over wintering, thank you for your help margie

    Aha, that's winter-sowing. I've not done it, but with the term, you should be able to find/solicit some info.

    Seeds especially flower seeds are usually started indoors on a window ledge. You could of course use plant fleece.

    Margie, I think another term is winter sow. In Michigan I have started my perrianials about a week ago. I still have time to put out some more. Right now I have about 15 containers.
