I seem to have quite a bit going on in the garden despite the huge amount of rain and number of gales we have had.It is surprisingly mild and we've only had 3 or 4 frosts...shouldn't complain though.

and the unexpected but very welcome visitor to the viburnum on Monday afternoon(and again on Tuesday). I'm sorry that the pictures aren't very sharp but they're taken through 2 layers of double-glazing.

Is it summer in the UK?
Except for the confusing pics of bulbs poking through the ground, I could swear it's summer!

You're way ahead of us up here in Scotland. I'm so looking forward to seeing some flowers and having bees back in the garden. Thanks for sharing your photographs with us. I have a feeling spring is in the air after seeing them. :stew2:

    Gorgeous, just gorgeous!

Seeing your images makes me realize how much I'm missing the color in my own garden. Even though it's not much compared to most of you, both because I'm so new at this whole gardening thing and also because my garden is still in its infancy, there's still way more color in the warm months than there is right now. It's just all drab and brown for the most part. :(

Weird, I thought I just smelled freesia. Hm... You're so lucky to have both bees and blooms. Please enjoy them for me too. :D

Thankyou for your lovely comments :)

We are having a strange winter indeed. I was looking back at some pictures from last year and on the 18th January last year we had 4inches of snow on the ground, this year we have freesias  .

I worry that we are going to get a cold spell that will undo all the early signs of life.

I dunno what to say, KM.
I had better keep my eye out for bumblebees as well over here. It is so darn rainy though, I do not expect to see any in spite of our warm weather.
