Kahori diantus was a spur of the moment order this spring and I'm sure glad I ordered it. They were very small starts and I just kind of stuck them in a bed in the far corner of the yard. They have bloomed all summer long with no care other than a little watering. I haven't even dead headed it. They are a brighter pink that my picture shows. I may have to get more of these next year.

They are very nice for rocky areas. That's what I added along the new path in the front yard. They will really be filling out next year. Can't wait to see.

Lovely plant...and it seems to be doing really well for you. You may want to split this plant at a later date to have more.

Very pretty color on your dianthus...I have quite a few and for some reason some of them died out early in the summer. Not sure if it was the weather or something I had done to it.

I bought two of the same kind of dianthus in June this year and got profuse blooms. But they died down in August. Is that normal? Will they come back?

Mine usually come back in Wisconsin where I live. What did your tag say? They look dead but don't pull them out of the ground ...wait and see if they come back next year.

The dianthus Kahori has bloomed all summer and is still blooming now. The Firewitch I have in the front yard doesn't bloom as long but it's just finished it's 3rd year and is still healthy.

The tag said they were 'hardy perennials'. I am not pulling them out and I hope they do come back next year. I love them.
