And just imagine what it will look like with new mulch. That will come next week. I wanted to take you all on another little walk because I was the biggest complainer that Spring would never happen.

Jerry Sullivan, I will look in a few hours to see if the label for the Geranium is still there. I have an ongoing battle with the squirrels stealing them. The front garden is the oldest garden area. Remember the half acre triangle that will become a hidden garden, and there are many small garden areas. They have a long way to go to become filled in and comfortable.

Jewell, White Pine was never my favorite tree. It was somewhere down on the bottom of that list. Well guess what street I live on??? Yes, you got it. The one lane paved road is lined on both sides for the first 200 feet and also along one end of my driveway. When I first saw this Contorted Pine I just had to have it. Imagine the tree that I would never think of paying money for. I think I also have a White Pine that has yellow all through it. I will look after it get's light out there this morning.

That Dogwood is many years old and has never looked nice. This year is the big payoff. It sure is getting nice finally.

cherylad, That front entrance gets very nice. The Hosta Sum and Substance gets huge on the left side. There are many other entrances to this area. We also have a couple of paths that have to get steps in them. There is also a small rose garden on the other end of this area. It's not begun to Spring out yet.

There is still tons of work to get done before it's ready for the world to enjoy but it's finally on the way. I am glad. Spring is good for me......

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. We love out little patch on the Mountain Side. :p

Nice Barb. You have some very pretty specimens. Thanks for sharing. I need to get out and snap a few pics of whats out in my yard, too. I just seem to run out of "thought to do it" every day. I'll try to go do that right now, but then the uploading takes a while...

Netty, As you well know I don't know allot about plants that live outside my house. I only know about greenhouse plants. You know from chololate's land.... and Africa. :D

So I have edited my plant name because I didn't know what it was. Now as I research it I realize I can take clippings soon and make new starts for my hidden garden out back. that is a very nice little plant. Thanks

Philip Nulty, donna in nc and everyone else I think you for your comments. I have been frustrated with our gardens because I wanted them to be finished the first year. I realized that they take years to get acclimated and look good. I now have a little more patience with it.

And I just realized the Mini Hosta garden round the old Oak Tree are beginning to wake up.
