I nearly stepped on this yellow guy, he was on the path so i made him go visit the grass...

heres one of the larger red ants that i find all over my peony bulbs before they bloom. Im not sure why they spend so much time on the closed bulbs but finally the flower opened and he's checking out the middle.

lastly is from where i was cleaning out one of my hummingbird feeders. The same red ants that get on the peonies get inside this feeder and drown on the sugar water. I decided to move this to another spot so that they cant invade it and clog up the feeder holes.

Lovely moth, butterfly and peony. :D You may keep the ants, I'm not particularly fond of those.

Pretty pictures. Not sure about the Moth but the Butterfly is a Tiger Swallowtail.
    The Peonie is pretty.

That first guy has quite the fur coat, huh? Pretty peony -- isnt' it amazing how all of those petals are squeezed into that ball of a bud?

I think the ants in your peonies are after either nectar, pollen or even tiny insects Green_Numb. As long as they don't harm those lovely blooms though as that would be a real shame.

Lovely shots of the moth and butterfly that paid you a visit. :stew2:
