    Dandelion blooms are a favorite for our hens. We've never had them root and grow above ground, as in a tree, but we do have them all over the barn lot.

    I sort of like the dandelions. We never pull them up until they're done blooming. Husband occasionally makes wine from the flowers. I always plan to put pots over some to have bleached leaves for salad but keep forgetting. I don't know how it is in the rest of the world but here in Norway we have the term "Dandelion Child". It applies to people who had a rough start in life, either neglect, abuse, or other issues, but still managed to come through and get a good life.
