I have had this fruit tree for about 4 years and is now starting to make a good amount of fruit. The only problem is the bugs are getting it before they even ripen for me to pick and eat. The only defense I have is sevins dust spay that connects to the hose"poison". What do you recommend? Also can/have do you make jam out of this fruit? Thanks

Only thing I can think of is getting some predatory nematodes to eat the bugs in the ground so they can't eat the fruit.

There are natural pesticides that you can use but you really need to spray it on the bugs to be most effective.

It would help if we knew what kind of bug it is that is getting your fruit !! If it is a pest that lives in the soil you can treat the soil rather than the tree !! Any idea what this bug is ???

No but I did spray it and have not seen any. The most I see are little and they fly so much that when you walk by it you need to cover your mouth. But sense I sprayed I have not seen any.
