Loveliest Liatris

Spicata Liatris has rosy-purple flower spikes.

I had those thinking by the label they be alpine size...no way they grew as tall as Veronics..

I like the fact that Liatris flowers from the top to the bottom.
Liatris also comes in white.

In all my gardening experience, I do know that rabbits LOVE Liatris I do too!!

Liatris grows wild here, but the ones I know of are along a State Hwy, and it is illegal to have some of theirs.

However, I finally did find some at the Family Dollar Store a few years ago, so I have some of my own growing. I found some at another store a few weeks ago, and planted it a few days ago. I love it. Now, if I could get some big purple alliums to grow. The last ones that I bought were duds. Alliums and liatris would look nice together.
