Well it wasn't exactly in the garden. I took this pic this past Sun. while at Church. After service we all gather for coffee, snacks and chatting. Last year we added an addition to our Church and it now has a deck. With the weather so nice we have been heading outside and on the door to the deck (outside) was this luna moth. At least that's what someone told me it was. I googled the name and the pics looked like this one, so I have to assume it was correct. I know the pic is a little blurry but it's the only one I got. I just thought it was so neat, I'd never seen one before.

Isn't that a fantastic looking moth. Some moths are just as pretty as butterflies.

    Thanks for the picture

It's lovely, and I've never seen anything like that before! :D It's got those feathery antennae and the burgundy stripe is striking. Thanks for showing it.

I wondered what that type of moth was called is that the name?
One died at work and I preserved him like a butterfly
